About Online Photography Week

In 2003, colleagues who were presenting catalog and online auctions of vintage photographs realized we were planning our auctions to end around the same time. As we had many interests in common, and felt we could work well together, we decided to join forces and have our auctions ending during the same week. This was the origin of "Online Photo Week".

In Spring 2004 we concluded our second "Online Photography Week," with successful sales of over $100,000 of fine photographs, ranging in price from $4 to $12,000. We all have a special interest in fine examples of the earliest photographic images – daguerreotypes – and the sales included a strong selection of European and American daguerreotypes. Each of us has a different mode of presentation, with different areas of collectible photographs that we present. In general we cater to the large world of serious photographic collectors, who collect material that is more and more ignored by the "major" photographic auctions because the offering might not reach the $5000 minimum level that these venues strive for. Collecting photographs is such a wide-ranging activity that it is obvious that much of the vitality of the field is found in material that will not be at the highest monetary level, but is nevertheless central to the history of photography and its collection. Our sellers have in common a dedication to presenting hand-picked material that is presented in the fullest and most clear and responsible manner. When you deal with us you need not fear that there is any misrepresentation – we stand behind everything we offer. Our sellers have a combined total of over 20 years experience in conducting cataloged photography sales.

Our sales are normally held twice yearly, in the Spring and Fall. We look forward to your participation.
